This Storm

From my porch step, facing west I sit, my knees drawn to my chest. Over the gulf a storm unleashes its fury of lightning like a god wildly striking his sword upon a stone, ever sparking. Thunder rolls incessantly as peal after peal overlap each other in a cacophony of guttural rumblings. Nothing shall harm me tonight being protected by such an awesome power, an army of giants. Tonight I shall sleep in peace for not even a bad dream dare take on my protector…this storm. – Peter Kuhn
