Graveyard Gift

Cool marble bench

Shaded by a tree,

Refreshing to sit on

As if inviting me.

Cool gentle breezes

O’er fields of flower and stone

Carry whispers I can barely hear,

Voices, long since gone.

Endless rows of memories

Rest gently in the ground

No matter where we stood in life

We all are equal now.
